Coach Danielle Kinley - Bio

Penn State University

  • Penn State captain during junior and senior seasons, team offensive player of the year 4 years in a row. All Big Ten and All Region honors in freshman, sophomore and junior seasons and was 2nd team All American sophomore year 

 

  • 2008: Started in all 56 games for the Nittany Lions recording a .356 batting average...led the team in runs (30), hits (58), doubles (13) and stolen bases (9) Named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District First Team... earned the team Offensive MVP Award... named to the Academic All-Big Ten team

 

  • 2007: Started every game in center field for Penn State... led the team in batting average (.384) and first in hits (56)

 

  • 2006: Selected second team All-Big Ten after leading the Lions' offense with a .354 average in Big Ten action... also earned Big Ten All-Freshman team honors.

Philadelpia Force

 

  • Was the 16th overall pick in the 2009 National Pro Fastpictch Draft

 

  • After graduating from Penn State, Kinley has decided to take her softball game to a professional level. In 2009 she played for the Philadelphia Force in the NPF league. She tied for 13th in the league in RBI's and belted a home run.

 

  • Spent the summer of 2010 playing and coaching softball in Germany for the Herrenberg Wanderers.  During the season, led the league in several offensive categories including batting average .645, homeruns 7, hits 40, slugging 1.258, and on base .726.

 

 

Carlsbad High School

 

  • In 2014, Danielle became the Head Varsity Softball coach for her Alma Mater - Carlsbad High.

 

  • In that 1st season, she lead the Lancers to a CIF Championship in the inaugural "Open Division"

 

  • She also led her team to a CIF Championship in 2003 as a player.

  • While attending Carlsbad High School, Danielle earned first team all-league her sophomore, junior and senior years; made first team all-CIF junior and senior year; and won scholar athlete and player of the year awards her senior campaign as the teams captain.
